The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services adopted finalized rules concerning algorithm transparency and information technology interoperability among health care providers. The algorithm transparency provisions aim to "promote responsible artificial intelligence" and allow for "a consistent, baseline set of information about the algorithms." Interoperability rules include revisions to "certain information blocking definitions and exceptions to support information sharing."
