As part of a 2022 plan made with the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority, Google will depreciate third-party cookies from its Chrome browser starting in January 2024, MediaPost reports. The move is meant to protect consumer privacy by reducing cross-site tracking. There will be workarounds for other browsers while the transition takes place.
