Google announced it closed a deal to buy cybersecurity company Mandiant for $5.4 billion, The Wall Street Journal reports. Google aims to upgrade its cloud unit with more cybersecurity offerings, despite being engaged in current antitrust litigation. Last quarter, Google saw its cloud computing business grow its revenue 45% to $5.54 billion, which is roughly 7% of the overall company’s total quarterly revenue. Microsoft had previously been in talks to purchase Mandiant in February.
