U.S. Federal Trade Commissioner Alvaro Bedoya made his first public speech since being sworn in as commissioner in May. Speaking at the National Association of Attorneys General Presidential Summit, Bedoya said the agency needs to better protect and identify issues with teens' mental health stemming from online activity by adding "people and data to study this problem adequately." He also addressed issues around geolocation data, saying such data "is not under control" and how there is "a large, unregulated market for this data."
