The U.S. Federal Trade Commission has finalized its settlement with Zoom for allegedly misleading consumers about its security practices. Zoom will be required to implement a comprehensive security program and obtain biennial assessments of its security program by an independent third party. The settlement was approved by a 3-2 vote, with Acting FTC Chair Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Commissioner Rohit Chopra dissenting.
