Switzerland’s revised Data Protection Act will take effect Sept. 1, 2023, following a decision by the Federal Council. Prior to adoption, the OPDo was “thoroughly revised” to include updates to the obligations of data controllers regarding rights of access. They are no longer required “to document the reasons for which the communication is refused, restricted or deferred.”
