Politico reports the European Commission plans to offer jobs to those affected by Big Tech layoffs in an effort to boost personnel overseeing enforcement of the Digital Services Act. European Commission Director-General of the Joint Research Centre Stephen Quest said "the door is open" to former workers from Twitter, Meta and other companies that endured cutbacks. Hiring challenges remain for the commission, including competitive wages and the potential for prospective hires to move back to the private sector at any time.
