Machine-learning software that would detect a person’s emotions is gaining more proponents who are bullish on its potential, Axios reports. Startups have begun incorporating the technology and Zoom may look to purchase artificial intelligence emotion-tracking systems. Intel has also started working with Classroom Technology to build programs that would help teachers better understand if a student is struggling with remote learning. Critics warn the technology is unsound and could be prone to abuse.
