The European Data Protection Board announced plans for coordinated enforcement among national data protection authorities on cloud services provided by the public sector. The EDPB said more than 75 public bodies in the European Economic Area across a range of sectors will be examined in one of four procedures that will either determine the necessity for a formal investigation or move straight into a formal probe. Results of the coordinated work will be analyzed and supervisory authorities will decide whether further supervision or enforcement actions are required.
