In an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal, MeWe founder Mark Weinstein supported age verification on his and other social media platforms and said "privacy as we once knew it no longer exists." Weinstein argued vast amounts of personal data have already been collected by Big Tech and social platforms over time, adding that "it's time to stop pretending that our true identities are secret on the web."
