The U.S. Department of Justice announced a $150 million settlement with Epsilon Data Management in relation to fraud schemes involving the sale of elders' personal information. An investigation from the DOJ and the U.S. Attorney General for the District of Colorado found Epsilon sold "consumer lists to a number of mass-mailing fraud schemes," with Epsilon admitting to selling information on 30 million consumers. The settlement will pay out $127.5 million to affected consumers.
