Data privacy, protection of personal data when shared with a company, contests, loyalty programs and email marketing are most popular with consumers, Forbes reports. The 2022 Digital Consumer Trends Index from Econsultancy and relationship-marketing platform Cheetah Digital asked more than 5,400 people in six countries their marketing tactics preferences. So-called “creepy” tactics, like location-based and retargeted advertisements, were not popular with consumers, and popular online marketing tactics, including social media ads, banner ads and texts, lagged behind email marketing.
