Washington, D.C., Attorney General Karl Racine filed a lawsuit in District of Columbia Superior Court against Mark Zuckerberg alleging the Meta CEO directly participated in decision-making around data abuses stemming from the Cambridge Analytica scandal, The Washington Post reports. Racine said Cambridge Analytica exposed “tens of millions of Americans’ personal information, and Mr. Zuckerberg’s policies enabled a multi-year effort to mislead users about the extent of Facebook’s wrongful conduct.” The suit claims Zuckerberg was aware of potential damages of sharing consumers’ data but failed to act on them.
