The California Privacy Protection Agency published a selection of California Privacy Rights Act draft regulations. The first draft covers only a handful of the 22 regulatory topics the CPPA set out to address, including personal data collection and use restrictions, mandatory user opt-out signal acknowledgement, privacy notice requirements and more. The draft rules are the result of information gathered by the CPPA from various stakeholder listening sessions in recent months. Discussions regarding the draft will take place at the CPPA's June 8 board meeting, where an updated timeline for a formal rulemaking process could be announced.
