The California Privacy Protection Agency sent its first set of proposed final California Privacy Rights Act regulations to the state's Office of Administrative Law. The filing marks the start of a 30-day review window for the OAL to amend and approve the proposed regulations. The CPPA reiterated the regulations are not effective until after the review and further procedural steps, which the agency previously stated would allow the regulations to take effect in April at the earliest. Editor's note: The IAPP's Joe Duball reported on the CPPA Board's approval of the proposed regulations.
