Euractiv reports France, Germany and Italy are pushing for a code of conduct in the proposed Artificial Intelligence Act that would allow companies to self-regulate rather than abide by a previously proposed tiered regulation model. Meanwhile, Spanish Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence Carme Artigas said AI Act negotiators should be open to changing proposed foundational model regulations while preserving transparency requirements. The Council of the European Union's Telecommunications and Information Society Working Party will discuss foundational models in a 21 Nov. meeting.
