Seven leading artificial intelligence companies have voluntarily committed to "help move toward safe, secure, and transparent development of AI technology," U.S. President Joe Biden's administration announced. Amazon, Anthropic, Google, Inflection, Meta, Microsoft and OpenAI committed to internal and external security testing of AI systems before release, sharing information on managing AI risks, investing in safeguards and more. The administration said it has consulted several allies and partners on the voluntary commitments and is working "to establish a strong international framework to govern the development and use of AI."
