The committee in charge of implementing Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act has been formed, ahead of the law going into effect in June, the Bangkok Post reports. The PDPA created a 16-member committee with wide scope of responsibilities in terms of the promotion and protection of personal data. The core functions include, drafting a master plan for data protection, issuing rules for executing the law and advising the cabinet on how the PDPA or other laws may be revised to better protect personal data.
