The Colorado House of Representatives voted 57-7 Monday to approve Senate Bill 190, the Colorado Privacy Act. The bill is returning to the Senate for final approval of amendments made during the bill's time in the House. Upon final passage, the bill will become a law 10 days after transmission to the governor's office so long as it is not explicitly vetoed. The proposed legislation would take effect July 1, 2023, and is subject to rulemaking by Colorado's attorney general.
