France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, fined phone prospecting company FORIOU 310,000 euros for allegedly purchasing data from brokers and using it without consent of the data subjects. The company did not have a valid reason for its alleged data purchases under the EU General Data Protection Regulation, officials said.
