Clearview AI is in final negotiations on a class-action settlement over Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act claims, MediaPost reports. Plaintiffs reported to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois the two sides discussed "numerous drafts of the term sheet over the past week" and talks have reached a point where "they have settled on a framework" for a deal. The lawsuit concerns data scraping claims and alleged sale of the collected data.
