The Court of Justice of the European Union issued a non-binding opinion supporting the Austria Independent Arbitration Committee's ruling on an anti-doping body publishing a suspended long distance runner's identity and the details surrounding her alleged doping violations. CJEU Advocate General Tamara Ćapeta wrote the "factual circumstances of this case fall outside the scope" of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. Editor's note: A prior version of this story incorrectly referred to the CJEU's opinion as a formal ruling.
