Testifying before the U.S. Senate's most recent Artificial Intelligence Insight Forum, Public Knowledge President and CEO Chris Lewis said passing the American Data Privacy and Protection Act would be a solid foundation for developing AI legislation, according to his written remarks obtained by MediaPost. Lewis said the ADPPA's requirements on data minimization and giving users agency over their data would reduce the privacy abuses of commercial surveillance.
