The Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and financial technology provider MX partnered on an open banking agreement to streamline customers' third-party financial application use, The Fintech Times reports. CIBC’s 11 million customers can now share bank information with and access services from MX-partnered financial apps without a previously required bank login or password. MX Chief Advocacy Officer Jane Barratt said the agreement provides customers "greater control of their financial data to decide who they share their data with and for what purposes."
