U.S. Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Director Rohit Chopra proposed two new agency rules to apply to data brokers under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, following a White House meeting on data brokers' collection practices. Meanwhile, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Senior Vice President Jordan Crenshaw, CIPP/US, called for a "single, workable national privacy law" in response to Chopra's announcement.
