The Washington Post reports on the degree of opposition U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation Chair Maria Cantwell, D-Wash., carries in negotiations for federal privacy legislation. In addition to recently stated opposition to the proposed American Data Privacy and Protection Act, Cantwell reportedly nixed a prior bipartisan agreement earlier in 2022 on a proposal by Sens.
