Canada’s COVID-19 vaccine passport application PORTpass exposed names, identifying documents and emails of as many as hundreds of thousands of users through an unsecured website, CBC News reports. CBC News received a tip that members of the public could access user profiles on the app’s website and confirmed the information was not encrypted. PORTpass CEO Zakir Hussein said the data was pulled from the server and developers are investigating the breach.
