Canadian security and privacy startup 1Password raised $100 million in a recent funding round, increasing the company’s value to $2 billion, Reuters reports. The company started 15 years ago as a consumer application and has expanded to serve the corporate market. Silicon Valley venture capital firm Accel led the funding round. Accel Partner Arun Mathew said the firm sees the investment as “courage capital” that will help 1Password pursue new opportunities.
