Brave browser created a feature where users would bypass accelerated mobile pages hosted by Google, India’s CNN News18 reports. The function, called De-AMP, takes users directly to the website they intended to visit instead of being routed through a Google AMP page, which Brave officials claimed detracts from user privacy and allows Google to monopolize a website. De-AMP would rewrite links and URLs so users would not land on an AMP page.
