On Jan. 8, Robert Taylor of Arizona won nearly $230,000 when he played a slot machine at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, CNN reports. However, neither Taylor nor casino officials were notified of his prize due to a malfunction with the machine. After casino officials could not identify Taylor, the Nevada Gaming Control Board underwent an “exhaustive” search to locate him and reviewed surveillance videos from several casinos, interviewed witnesses, examined electronic purchase records and analyzed ride share data.
