California's First District Court of Appeal ruled Facebook can face a lawsuit over allegations its advertising algorithm discriminated against users, The Verge reports. The court ruled the case "adequately" argues Facebook violated the Unruh Civil Rights Act with the knowledge that "insurance advertisers intentionally targeted its ads based on users' age and gender."
