Reuters reports Amazon announced an extension to its moratorium on law enforcement's use of the company's facial recognition technology until further notice. The company's initial one-year ban was set to expire in June. The move follows recent calls from civil rights groups asking Amazon to roll out a permanent ban on facial recognition use by police.
