Financial Times reports children’s digital rights group 5Rights accused Google and ClassDojo of violating the U.K. Age Appropriate Design Code, citing issues with the companies' education technology products. Research presented by 5Rights to the U.K. Information Commissioner's Office and the Department of Education revealed issues with privacy notices for the products and that third-party user-tracking methods were allowed during use of the edtech products. 5Rights Chair Baroness Beeban Kidron said remote learning growth helped facilitate the alleged violations.
