PCMag reports a change in WhatsApp's privacy notice will require it share with Facebook the data of users who joined after 2016. The data to be shared includes the phone numbers associated with WhatsApp accounts, profile names and photos, and contacts and financial transactions made over the application. The notice is effective Feb. 8, and users who refuse the notice will have their WhatsApp profiles deleted. However, WhatsApp said European users will not be required to share user data with Facebook.
