In a blog post, New Zealand's Office of the Privacy Commissioner Policy Advisor Ephraim Wilson writes about what must be addressed when considering vaccine passports. Wilson states developers should embed privacy-by-design principles into the passport systems they create. "Vaccine or immunity passports may well play a major role in the world’s economic recovery," Wilson writes. "We need to ensure that as we develop these systems, privacy is not sacrificed at the altar of expediency."
