An unsealed complaint filed by 33 U.S. state attorneys general shows the depth of alleged children's privacy violations against Meta, The New York Times reports. The complaint, part of an October lawsuit brought by the attorneys general, alleged Instagram accounts belonging to users under 13 were not properly shut down and the platform "routinely continued to collect" their location data and email addresses without parental consent.
