The bill prohibits data brokers from sharing sensitive personal data with an entity controlled by a "country of concern," including a company with more than 20% ownership by an entity in a covered jurisdiction. Meanwhile, Axios reports momentum on a recently passed companion bill to block TikTok and other apps operating in countries of concern may slow in the U.S. Senate.
