Spain's data protection authority, the AEPD, published guidelines on how the EU General Data Protection Regulation addresses data processing that uses artificial intelligence technologies. The AEPD wrote the guide aims "to address some of such concerns regarding privacy compliance and to point of the more relevant aspects regarding the design and implementation of [AI-based processing] from the point of view of GDPR." Areas of focus within the guidelines include the "legal basis for the processing, information and transparency, rights, automated decisions, profiling, privacy impact assessment and assessment of the proportionality."
