The Netherlands' data protection authority, Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, identified privacy risks and issued recommendations to better protect personal data in education. The AP noted three trending risks to privacy in education: monitoring of pupils, dependence on major suppliers and increased exchange of data in partnerships. The DPA called on the government to be transparent in how it plans to address these concerns and said, "the education sector has indicated that it agrees with the findings" and has begun to work on measures.
