The Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information announced the town of Kerepes was fined 5 million HUF for violating the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The DPA's decision stated the municipality's data collection and data security practices related to surveillance cameras in a particular public building did not comply with the GDPR.
