The Dublin InQuirer reports closed-circuit TV cameras equipped with "deep learning" technology were installed at the Bluebell Road football pitch in 2018. The cameras use different artificial intelligence techniques to identify individuals, including facial recognition. Documents revealed the Dublin City Council did not conduct a data protection impact assessment before the cameras were put in place. A spokesperson for the council said it will perform a DPIA.
