European Parliament tackles governance angle of proposed AI Act

Members of the European Parliament discussed 21 Nov. how artificial intelligence should be governed under the EU AI Act, Euractiv reports. A compromise bill would establish an AI Office to oversee enforcement aspects of the law, but would have EU countries carry out its tasks. An appointed AI Board would make sure the law is applied consistently.
