In an interview with Bloomberg, outgoing Ireland Data Protection Commissioner Helen Dixon highlighted how "things could have been smoother" with harmonized EU General Data Protection Regulation enforcement during her tenure. Dixon criticized "political and economic compromise" at "the 11th hour" while establishing the GDPR's one-stop-shop mechanism. Editor's note: Goodwin Procter's Omer Tene reviewed the highlights of Dixon's DPC tenure.
