U.K. Information Commissioner Elizabeth Denham wrote a blog post unpacking the importance of holding a recent meeting between G-7 data protection authorities and what was discussed during the meeting. Denham characterized the focus of the meeting as an "international collaboration for practical benefit" while keying in on how to "better work together to enable data free flow with people’s trust." Besides data flows, the DPAs discussed the use of artificial intelligence and cookies, the intersection of data protection and competition, and regulatory considerations.
