The report outlines data transfer and surveillance issues, key points of the TADP framework and areas where Congressional action could impact the future data transfer landscape, including consideration of comprehensive federal privacy legislation. A privacy law, the document states, could potentially include data protection provisions aligning with the EU General Data Protection Regulation “to provide some level of certainty to EU businesses and individuals.”
