A pair of Democratic state lawmakers in Colorado plan to introduce legislation to establish guidelines on sharing personal information with federal agencies, CBS Denver reports. State Sen. Julie Gonzales, D-Colo. and Rep. Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez, D-Colo., seek to bring forth the bill after an immigrant rights group obtained emails revealing the Department of Motor Vehicles shared information with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The bill would prohibit personal information on file with the state to be used for immigration enforcement.
