OpenAI switched the location of its European data controller to Ireland and will handle its data according to the EU General Data Protection Regulation starting 15 Feb., TechCrunch reports. The change means other countries within the bloc that have issues with ChatGPT's privacy practices will not be able to pursue their own investigations but must refer their concerns to Ireland's Data Protection Commission.
