Police in Canada are looking into technology that allows law enforcement to access footage from privately-owned security cameras in real-time, CBC News reports. More than a dozen agencies saw a demo of paid service Fusus during a conference earlier this month. Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada Senior Communications Advisor Vito Pilieci said use of the tech would need to be "proportionate" and "fully justified by a pressing and legitimate necessity."
