Austria's Data Protection Authority fined Vienna-based loyalty program operator Unser Ö-Bonus Club 2 million euros for violations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, TechNadu reports. The authority said the company unlawfully processed 2.3 million Austrians’ data for profiling without properly obtaining users’ consent and continued using the data after being notified of the issue and correcting notice.
