Brazil's data protection authority, the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados, released details on its biannual regulatory agenda. The three-phase agenda includes intentions to publish a strategic plan for 2021–23 and a differentiated regulation for small businesses by the middle of 2021. In 2022, the regulator intends to create guidelines on international data transfers, a resolution on data subject rights and guidelines on best compliance practices.
